Bonjeo
About

One country, done deeply

Bonjeo exists because Brazil’s great celebrations are the best reason to travel, and the worst thing to leave to chance.

Anyone can sell you a hotel room in Rio in February. What’s hard is the rest: parade tickets that are real and in the right sector, a hotel that’s twenty minutes from the Sambadrome instead of ninety, transport at 3am when the parade ends, and someone to call when plans wobble. That’s the part we do.

We chose to be a Brazil specialist rather than a global catalogue, because depth beats breadth. Our hosts and partners live and work on the ground in Brazil, which is how a small company can promise big-company fulfilment on the events that matter: Carnival in Rio and Salvador, Réveillon on Copacabana, São João in the northeast, Parintins in the Amazon.

We keep groups small and open one trip at a time. If an event isn’t ready to sell to our standard, it stays on the waitlist until it is. That’s why our events page says “waitlist” a lot, and features exactly one trip.

Bonjeo markets and introduces each trip; the trip itself is organised, sold and fulfilled by our Brazil-based operating partner, who takes your booking and payment. We think that boundary should be plain before you spend a cent, so we say it everywhere.

How we work

Enquiry first, always. No payment at enquiry, a written USD quote before any decision, and a real person within one working day.

What we never do

Fake countdowns, invented scarcity, “only 2 left” games, or selling events we can’t fulfil. Carnival’s calendar is the only deadline we’ll ever quote you.

The paperwork

Full company details, booking terms and how your money is handled are stated plainly, in writing, before any payment is taken. Bookings and payments are completed with the trip’s operating partner, never with Bonjeo directly.
